Jeffrey Eugenides is an American author born in Detroit and now teaching at Princeton. He is the author of three novels: The Virgin Suicides, Middlesex, and The Marriage Plot. Winner of the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for Middlesex, Eugenides is also the recipient of a Guggenheim fellowship, an NEA fellowship, a Whiting Writer’s Award, and the Henry D. Vursell Memorial Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, among other honors.
