Michael Fragstein was born in 1972 in Sosnowiec, Poland. He studied architecture and design at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design and at the Universidade Lusíada in Lisbon. He and Marc Guntow founded the Stuttgart based studio Buro Achter April in 2006.
