Thinking it’s a
pillow you let
your head fall
back, but fooled
by empty
space again you

you wonder if

far enough
if you could
live there.

Thax Douglas is a poet living in Chicago. He is somewhat in the legend on the city’s music scene and has read his poetry to introduce the likes of Bright Eyes, Modest Mouse, Of Montreal and Death Cab for Cutie. He has penned two collections, the latest of which is The Good Life.
