The redesigned foggedclarity.com breathes. The new site features sharper, easier to read text, a revamped audio player, a more accessible layout, and the scent of John Cheever’s favorite sweater. Arts Editor and Web Administrator Ryan Daly has delivered once again, as he continues to humble me with the skill and dedication he brings to this journal. This new site is a product of his work and vision. I feel privileged to labor with him, and believe he has succeeded in creating a truly worthy home for the best in contemporary art and thought.
October, our maiden sail in this delightful new vessel, features an interview with two-time Booker Prize winning author Peter Carey. I very much enjoyed talking with Mr. Carey and discovered that, not only is he one of the most accomplished novelists of our time, but a great guy as well. Also featured this month is an exclusive acoustic session that the talented Portland songwriter Laura Veirs recorded for us in her backyard studio. Furthermore, our latest offering contains new stories from Daniel Torday and Alexander V. Bach, poems by Allan Johnston and Sally Van Doren, the photography of Tor Dahlin, and much more.
